April 5, 2024: Pamela Malvina “Noutcho” Sawa, a professional boxer from Bologna, wins the EBU European Silver title in her category by defeating British champion Jordan Barker Porter.
Pamela’s story begins in Cameroon, where she left at the age of eight to join her father in Italy, later moving to Bologna in 2014 to study nursing and graduate.
During an internship at a homeless shelter, she discovered boxing, becoming stronger every day as she trained at the ‘popular’ boxing gym in Bologna, Bolognina Boxe.
With tenacity and strength, she pursued her goals, first winning the Italian title in the 64 kg category at the Assoluti Elite 2021, obtaining Italian citizenship in 2022, and securing the Italian title in 2023 in Casoria. In April 2024, she finally earned the well-deserved EBU title.
